Webinar: Payroll- it's not a Set & Forget!

In April alone – Fair Work has penalised 5 businesses, launched court action against a cleaning company and the Shangri-La in Sydney have signed an Enforceable Undertaking for their “set and forget” payroll which did not keep up with penalty and Award changes.

Recently Fair Work Ombudsman Sandra Parker said the regulator would continue to enforce workplace laws and take business operators to court when they fail to act on Compliance Notices.  

“Where employers do not comply, we are prepared to take appropriate legal action to ensure employees receive their lawful entitlements. A court can order a business to pay penalties on top of having to back-pay workers,” Ms Parker said.

Don’t bury your head in the sand. Make sure you are doing the right thing.
